Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ShipGarden (the “Site”), an independent editorial gallery of open-source software boilerplates. The Site is operated by ShipGarden. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the site

The Site is a free, publicly available publication. You may read, link to, and share our content for personal and professional use. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting its operation, scraping it in a way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or using it for any unlawful purpose. No account is required to read the Site.

Intellectual property

The editorial content, curation, text, design, and the ShipGarden name and logo are owned by ShipGarden and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source page. The open-source projects we review are owned by their respective authors and licensed under their own terms; nothing on the Site grants you any rights in those projects beyond what their own licenses provide.

User submissions

If you submit a boilerplate, correction, or other feedback through our contact form, you grant ShipGarden a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that submission for editorial and operational purposes. You confirm that you have the right to share what you send, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party repositories, deploy platforms, and resources that we do not control. We provide these links for convenience and do not endorse or accept responsibility for third-party content, products, or practices. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site's own terms and policies.

Disclaimers

The Site and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we test the projects we feature, we do not warrant that any boilerplate, deploy path, or external resource will be error-free, secure, or fit for your particular purpose. You are responsible for evaluating any software before you rely on it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipGarden shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or any third-party resource linked from it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShipGarden from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which ShipGarden is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence continue to apply. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision, and your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
